Christopher Brooks, MD: HERO Of The Year 2016: Memorial Healthcare System
What began as a once a year trip has blossomed to a quarterly journey abroad with two different organizations. As a global volunteer for the past 10 years this Hero of the Day has been leaving his busy medical practice to travel abroad and perform cleft palate and lip surgeries for underserved children overseas.
Projects of this scale don’t just happen; months of planning are required to pull off such an Herculean feat. Non-Profits need physicians willing to work year round to ensure their success. This HERO of the Day does that as a board member working on projects from planning to execution. This HERO of the Year is creating smiles across borders.
