Elbow Injury Can’t Keep Competitive Cyclist from Riding Toward Goal
Dan’s goal of qualifying for a distance cycling race in France was in serious jeopardy when he crashed on his bicycle, suffering a deep cut to his elbow. Alex Fokin, MD, Orthopaedic Surgeon at Memorial Sports Medicine Center, performed surgery to clean the competitive cyclist’s cut and reduce infection risk. Dan made a quick recovery, allowing him to qualify for the race in France.
