HER2/neu Breast Cancer Treatment For Shamena’s Treatment from Memorial
Shamena was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer known as HER2/neu. The oncologists and multidisciplinary team at Memorial Breast Cancer Center treated her with a combination of chemotherapy and cancer-fighting drugs, Herceptin and Projeta. The regimen virtually melted her tumor away by the time she was ready for her double mastectomy surgery. Tests continue to show no signs of cancer and Shamena has transitioned from cancer patient to cancer survivor.
