Dr. Howard Kreger – Neurologist
Dr. Howard L. Kreger is a board-certified neurologist at Memorial Neuroscience Institute. He treats a variety of adult neurology conditions including, but not limited to, degenerative brain diseases (i.e. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s), vascular disease, stroke, conditions related to post-stroke deficits, carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathic pain syndrome and migraine treatment. His specialized and targeted treatment of migraines through Botox injections has yielded success in greatly reduced or often complete elimination of migraine symptoms among his patients with chronic migraine pain.
A neuromodulation specialist, Dr. Kreger’s work with vagus nerve stimulators has revolutionized current treatment for epileptic seizure control. His success with deep brain stimulation for both Parkinson’s and essential tremor offers patients long-term relief from symptoms associated with these conditions. The clinical research trials he both leads and participates in allows him to offer his patients the most current tests, treatment options and medications that are not readily available elsewhere.
Through his ongoing research, resident instruction, neuromodulation treatments, and more than 20 years of practice, Dr. Kreger brings advanced neurological care to Memorial’s patients and families.
