Karen is Grateful for Extraordinary Stroke Care at Memorial
Karen is amazed by her recovery from a stroke following the care she received at Memorial Neuroscience Institute. During an evening out with her mother, she experienced an unusual headache and vision loss on one side.
The next day her neighbors called an ambulance after finding her in bad shape, unable to even sit up. Memorial’s stroke care team, led by neurointerventional surgeon Brijesh Mehta, MD, Director of Stroke and Neurocritical Care, quickly did a CT scan and rushed to carefully open the blocked artery in her brain.
She recovered quickly, with her vision restored and the ability to move her entire body after just one week.
