Khurram Benefited from Memorial’s Extraordinary Stroke Care
Exhibiting signs of a stroke, Khurram arrived at the Memorial Hospital West ER by ambulance. He was immediately taken for a CT scan, and three separate tears in his carotid artery were discovered. Options included treating the complex stroke with blood thinners or going in to fix it, risking further damage.
At Memorial Neuroscience Institute two-step procedure was performed to repair Khurram’s skull base vessel, and later, remove the blood clot.
Khurram made excellent progress with therapy at Memorial Rehabilitation Institute for a strong recovery.
